Dust of Soul

Hi Saskia, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today. 

My name is Saskia Stäuble; I am an intuitive singer (professionally known as “Dusty”) and the founder of “Dust of Soul”. I was born and raised in Switzerland and am located in Los Angeles. In my 11-year professional career as a performer, I journeyed around the world (Europe, North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, India) to share my original music to positively impact audiences – I even had the chance to perform for the Sultan of Oman in the capital city’s Muscat Amphitheater which was an experience unlike any other… 

I have always been feeling music with my whole body since I was a child. However, my environment did not support my “artist way,” so I started working and pursued a career in gastronomy. I used to be a chef and work in four-star hotels. Later, I specialized as a nutrition and motivational life coach. Even though everything was going well, something in my life was feeling off. I also totally forgot about singing. Then, out of nowhere, one week before my 30th birthday, I broke down. 

I became a paralized brain stroke victim. At this exact moment, I started a conversation with myself, and after a while, when I was out of excuses, I gave myself the promise to follow my inner voice and start living my dream of being a singer. Through this promise and my own music, I healed within three days completely, only through the vibration of my own voice. I experienced firsthand that music is pure healing. 

Today, every minute of my life I devote to music. It became my purpose to share music from my heart with the world. After surviving the brain stroke, I completely changed my life and started off my journey as an intuitive singer. Because ever since the brain stroke, I have the ability to channel melodies and lyrics in my sessions and performances right at the spot. 

As an intuitive singer, I create music based on energy. Together with my pianist Michael Odermatt (professionally known as “MiKey”), who has the ability to play the piano intuitively from early childhood through growing up in a dramatic family environment, we have established a natural way of “reading” energy of the room, and everyone present and “reflecting” it with music in a vocal-piano performance. 

It became our highlight to open our concerts with an intuitive performance which draws in many people. I came to understand that this is a very powerful way of creating music as it gives people important insights about their soul, encourages them to listen to their heart, and take steps towards healing and growing spiritually. Literally, everyone perceives the intuitive performance differently and receives a unique, personalized message. 

Nowadays, more and more people come to the understanding of the importance of vibration and frequency. And here in Los Angeles, it resonates even more, which is why I feel called and so connected here. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

I received so much life energy and power from surviving the brain stroke and changing to my “artist life.” However, I struggled a lot finding a musician, someone that is open for something new, something that is not Blues or Jazz, something like “Positive Music Power”. I had met so many musicians before I finally met MiKey at the train station in Lucerne (Switzerland). I could not believe him as he instantly agreed to join me on my artist way. Now, 11 years later, he is still on my side, and we have been facing all the challenges along the way together. 

How do you start off as a musician without a music degree? Without your family’s support? Without any connection in the music industry? My journey taught me you can only take little steps. But the beauty of it is that they eventually add up to a bigger step. When I look back now 11 years later, I understand many things. 

I have been always guided by the “universe”. I am proud today that the universe is my manager. 

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

It is my absolute mission to create “soul songs” together with Mikey for big audiences, groups of people, and even individuals in one-on-one sessions that will support, uplift, and connect them with their hearts whenever they need it. People started recording our intuitive performance during concerts so they can then listen to it again and again. It is a one-of-a-kind experience and always different. It is like a never-before-felt interaction between artist and audience, an intimacy that can be life-changing. We call it “Intuitive Music Reading”. 

In one-on-one sessions, we professionally record the performance and give the “soul song” after the reading to its “owner”. The song lyrics inhibit messages from the soul and provide insights about the “soul-carrier’s” journey, where they currently stand, and what the soul tries to express. 

When a person listens to his own “soul song,” the body’s cells start to pick up those vibrations and begin vibrating in the soul’s frequency. This re-alignment is very powerful. This is the pure core frequency of the higher self, the most powerful frequency from where we take the best sustainable decisions for our life, activate our courage, and feel our own power. 

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?

I am so happy knowing that I am on my artist way. As long as I can touch one person’s heart, I will do music.
